Chalwyn started and currently runs entrepreneurial hubs with a focus on developing start-up business to move beyond the local economy. She has extensive experience in black economic empowerment with a specific focus on responsible business which extends beyond the transformation realm (designing and implementing sustainable business models for multinational companies who have received global recognition for the local South African initiatives implemented), inclusivity and diversity, corporate social investment / responsibility, skills development, enterprise, supplier and socio-economic development and employment equity. She hold Masters in Sustainable Development Management and Planning (MPhil) at the University of Stellenbosch. Past work experience includes being a specialist consultant, a web designer and developer among other things.
